Join us on this mission as an Assembly Operative working in our Fitting Shop at our Denham site. You’ll be undertaking a variety of processes including the assembly and inspection operations to produce and test gun components as part of seat assembly that will contribute to the success of the ejector seats produced onsite, to ultimately save lives.

Aspects Of The Role Include:

  • Inspect and test products to the required tolerances and technical specifications using a variety of gauges and automated inspection equipment.
  • Inspection of first offs and finished articles using relevant company standards and procedures.
  • Using kits of parts and components to build assemblies.
  • Masking components to be ready for blasting with aluminium oxide.
  • Bonding of parts with appropriate glue such as araldite.
  • Oven curing the glue and preparing assembly for inspection.

Characteristics & Skills:

  • Experience of inspection of assemblies and components.
  • Broad experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Basic manufacturing/engineering background.
  • Background in H&S policies and procedures / QAI’s and COSHH regulations.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently.
  • SAP experience desirable.
  • Understanding of inspection / measuring tools and equipment.
