Specialist recruiter Martin Anthony is working with a successful client based in the Ellesmere Port area that is looking for an HSE Advisor to advise in all aspects of HSE with a primary focus on environmental and waste management.
As HSE Advisor, you will be guiding teams on environmental compliance, waste management, H&S and best practice. This is a high-exposure role with huge development potential, perfect for someone who thrives in a progressive, people-first culture.

What You’ll Do as HSE Advisor:
- Advise site teams on environmental compliance, waste management and health & safety matters
- Lead environmental programmes including waste minimisation and pollution prevention
- Ensure compliance with environmental permits and regulatory reporting
- Carry out environmental audits, inspections and risk assessments
- Maintain the site environmental aspects & impacts register
- Embed environmental considerations into daily operational activities
- Support incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Build strong relationships with waste contractors to ensure compliant, cost-effective solutions
- Liaise with EA and HSE where required
- Work with Procurement and suppliers on waste contracts
- Produce clear environmental and HSE performance reports
What You’ll Bring:
- Background in waste management, environmental compliance or EHS
- Understanding of Environmental Permits and ISO 14001
- WAMITAB / CIWM or similar certification desirable but not essential
- Experience with ISO 45001 is desirable but not essential, full training and support provided
