We are looking for a strategic and experienced Payroll Director that is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and jumping in to get the work done. This leader will oversee the payroll function and drive its alignment with organizational goals. This role involves managing high-level payroll strategy, ensuring compliance, and overseeing retirement benefits, including 401(k) and deferred compensation plans. Martignetti Companies has a payroll of approximately 1,700 employees across New England, with both a weekly and bi‑weekly payroll. We have a mix of pay types, including exempt and nonexempt employees, union and non‑union, and seasonal/temporary. A portion of our team are commission‑based and/or incentive‑based pay plans. The qualified candidate would have experience of working with a similarly complex payroll.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement payroll strategies that align with organizational goals and ensure efficiency.
  • Oversee all aspects of payroll processing to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
