Leave replacement position for Term 3 and Term 4, 2026. Full time in Term 3. Full time or part time (approx 0.84FTE) in Term 4.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated French Teacher to join our College community on a fixed term basis for Term 3 and Term 4, 2026. The role is a leave replacement position and will be full time in Term 3, and part time (FTE of approximately 0.64) in Term 4, 2026. Reporting to the Head of Learning - Languages, this role will be responsible for teaching French across Years 5 to 8, in a collaborative and progressive environment.

In addition, in Term 3, the role will be responsible for providing language assistance to VCE and IBDP students to help prepare the students for their French oral examinations. You will work alongside committed educators who value high-quality teaching practice and continuous professional growth, and enjoy access to modern teaching spaces and resources.

To be successful in this opportunity you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Education.
  • Current VIT Registration.
  • A current knowledge of the Australian Curriculum (French) and experience teaching French across Years 5 to 8.
  • Previous experience preparing VCE and/or IBDP students for oral languages assessments (preferred).
  • Knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and innovative use of ICT in the classroom to enrich learning.
  • Well-developed classroom management strategies which enhance student engagement and outcomes.
  • Be an active contributor to a collegial work environment.
  • Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the College.
