We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our friendly team at Sophie House. This is a temporary maternity cover position for up to 12 months.
The successful candidate will join an established kitchen team, preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals for our residents, the team also enjoy the opportunity to bake for our residents and staff.
Our team of dedicated cooks are an integral part of our Care team, enabling us to provide a truly holistic approach to care for each of our 14 residents.
We support people with profound learning disabilities and complex health needs, which may influence how someone can eat and drink. Our team of cooks therefore are required to adjust their meal preparation to accommodate varying dysphagia needs (swallowing difficulties), which may include providing bite-size foods or pureed meals. Training is provided from our Therapy team.
