Project Manager – Bespoke Joinery & Interior Fit-Out

The opportunity
Martek is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in bespoke joinery to join our team.
You will manage specialist joinery and fit-out projects from handover through design, manufacture, installation and completion. Acting as the key link between clients, consultants and internal teams, you will ensure delivery is safe, commercial and to Martek’s quality standards.
This is a hands-on role requiring a solid understanding of how joinery is designed, manufactured and installed.

Martek has almost 45 years’ experience delivering bespoke joinery and specialist interiors. We manage design, manufacture, logistics and installation in-house to maintain full control of quality.
We work across residential, commercial, hospitality, leisure, healthcare and cinema sectors throughout the UK and Europe.
Key responsibilities
Ø Manage projects from concept through to completion
Ø Set programmes, priorities and delivery milestones
Ø Act as main contact for clients, consultants and contractors
Ø Coordinate design development, samples and approvals
Ø Review drawings for buildability and manufacture suitability
Ø Work with design, production, procurement and site teams
Ø Track costs, variations and project performance
Ø Procure materials and subcontract packages
Ø Plan production, delivery and installation schedules
Ø Coordinate site teams and logistics
Ø Attend meetings and provide clear reporting
Ø Manage risk, quality and health & safety compliance
Ø Oversee remedials and project close-out
Essential experience
Ø Proven joinery project management experience
Ø Strong understanding of joinery manufacture and installation
Ø Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
Ø Commercial awareness (budgeting, variations, reporting)
Ø Strong communication and coordination skills
Ø Organised, detail-focused and solution-driven
Ø Knowledge of H&S requirements
Ø Microsoft Office proficiency
Ø Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
Desirable
Ø Experience in high-end residential, commercial or hospitality projects
Ø Background in joinery, setting out or furniture manufacturing
Ø AutoCAD / Microvellum or similar CAD/CAM experience
Ø SMSTS or CSCS certification
Ø Experiencing in estimating and project pricing
