Birchmount Animal Hospital is currently welcoming a dependable and caring Veterinary Receptionist, resort who will perform technician assistant and client care duties to support our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital.
Responsibilities
- Handling appointment scheduling, pet patient admission and discharge, and follow-up calls
- Assisting veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
- Managing email correspondence for clients, referring veterinarians, and internal office messages
- Managing invoicing/billing, including creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation, and processing payments
- Cultivating a warm, positive, compassionate atmosphere for our clients and patients
- General cleanliness maintenance in reception, pet holding areas, and common spaces
- Demonstrating willingness to learn about pet nutrition, veterinary services, and updated medical office procedures
- Remaining calm and adaptable in stressful situations
- Taking initiative and working independently
A Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Assistant Office Administration (VAOA) program certificate is an asset. A love for all companion animals!
