Hours: 40 hours/week (4x 10 hour days)
Applications are invited for this exciting opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team as a permanent full time Veterinary Dentist/Maxillofacial Surgeon. Southfields is a large multi-disciplinary veterinary hospital in Essex, UK, with Diploma-holders in diagnostic imaging, neurology, oncology, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, anaesthesia, internal medicine, ophthalmology and exotics. We are only 30 mins away from central London but also close to beautiful countryside and sandy beaches. There are excellent transport links to Europe and beyond via Stansted, London City and Gatwick airports as well as the Eurostar.
This is an exciting time to join our large multi-disciplinary veterinary team in our 42,000 sq. ft, state-of-the-art veterinary referral hospital, with 16 consulting rooms, new cross-sectional imaging machines (Siemens Magnetom Sola 1.5T MRI and Siemens 64-slice CT), a High-precision Varian TrueBeam® radiotherapy system and a purpose-built dentistry suite with IM3 Pro X dental machine, and CR7 dental x-ray system.
You will join a Specialist-led team that provides the opportunity to work with some of the most exceptional and dedicated veterinary professionals in a supportive environment.
The successful candidate will:
- Be committed to providing the highest standards of care to both patients and referring veterinary surgeons
- Develop and grow the Dentistry and Maxillofacial Service by driving caseload and bringing innovation to services offered
- Have a collegiate attitude to interdisciplinary working
- Promote your service to referring vets, via CPD provision, face to face meetings and the development of promotional marketing material
- Deliver teaching to Junior Associates
- Join the Linnaeus-wide family of Veterinary Dentists to share best practice
- Role model the Mars Five Principles at all times
Prerequisites for the successful candidate are:
- Membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
- An excellent command of written and spoken English
- Strong communication skills and professional approach
