The Fairway is a large, well-presented food-led pub on the south-east side of Sheffield, positioned next to Birley Wood Golf Course and directly on the Supertram route. Known for its 7-day carvery, spacious trading areas and function facilities, it attracts local residents, destination diners, golfers and commuters. Currently trading at around £22,000 per week with a 60/40 food-to-drink split, there is tremendous potential to grow food, drink and event sales.
The business
The pub offers zoned dining and drinking areas, a dedicated carvery deck, a spacious function room overlooking the golf course, a large garden with raised patio and ample customer parking. Key strengths include its established carvery offer, strong seasonal trade and excellent location, with Christmas Fayre and Christmas Day already proving particularly popular.
The opportunity
The next operator has a fantastic opportunity to build on an established food-led business and unlock further growth. The strongest priorities are developing the function and events calendar, increasing local marketing and social media activity, and driving food and drink sales through the carvery and wider menu offer.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for an experienced and ambitious operator or management couple with a strong background in large, food-led pubs. You’ll need excellent commercial and operational skills, confidence running a busy carvery operation and the ability to engage with the local community, golfers and destination diners. Experience of functions, weddings and celebrations would be a real advantage.
