The Moorgate Inn is a traditional community pub at the heart of Aspull, with a loyal local following and a strong sports-led offer. Known for its friendly, welcoming atmosphere, it attracts local residents, regular pub-goers, sports fans and social groups. Currently trading at around £4k per week, there is a clear opportunity to grow sales towards £6.5k per week through a stronger sports, teams and events offer.
The pub offers an informal, sociable trading space with multiple TV screens showing live sport, pool, darts and board games, alongside front and rear outdoor drinking areas and on-site parking. The business is 100% wet-led, with an established regulars’ base and further opportunity to make more of the function room for private functions and events.
The next operator can build on The Moorgate’s position as a true community local and take the business from its current £4k weekly sales towards £6.5k. The strongest growth opportunities are developing the live sports offer, attracting local sports teams and making greater use of the function room for private functions and events.
We’re looking for an experienced, community-minded operator with strong wet-led pub experience, a passion for sport and the confidence to build relationships with local teams, groups and regulars while creating more reasons to visit throughout the week.
20% share of weekly wet sales excluding VAT, and keep 100% of any food sales. Low ingoing costs start with a £5,000 deposit and £360 legal cost. Separate owner’s accommodation is included, with most bills covered except council tax and TV Licence.
Ready to take the next step? Run The Moorgate Inn and put yourself at the heart of the Aspull community. If you’re ready to grow a lively, sports-focused local and make the most of its events and function potential, enquire today.
