From matchdays to live music and big sporting moments, Grandstand pubs are where local communities and fans come together, and where your next partnership could start.
The Cherry Tree is a lively, much-loved pub just outside Norwich city centre, and it’s about to be completely transformed into a Marston’s Grandstand site. Already known for its loyal daytime crowd and strong weekend circuit trade, the pub will benefit from a major investment designed to elevate it into a high-energy, sport-focused destination.
Inside, the Cherry Tree has a traditional local feel with a large central bar, pool room and cosy seating areas, all leading out to a fantastic garden complete with its own outdoor bar. Currently trading at around £8,000 a week (90/10 wet-led), the pub also boasts a large commercial kitchen — creating huge potential for food growth under the Marston’s menu.
About the Role
Live music and events are key to the Cherry Tree’s identity, so we’re looking for an Operator who can bring the community together, drive entertainment, and deliver a strong food and drink offer. With the upcoming Grandstand investment, this is a standout opportunity to take a popular pub and turn it into a thriving flagship venue.
We’re looking for an experienced, sports-driven Pub Partner who thrives in high-energy, wet-laden environments and knows how to create standout guest experiences week in, week out. Previous food experience is essential, with experience operating branded food offers a strong advantage. You’ll be commercially focused, confident leading large teams, and passionate about using sport, atmosphere and great hospitality to drive results and make your pub the place everyone wants to be.
