We are looking for a General Manager for a Community Pub with Rooms. Salary up to £40,000 plus bonus and a generous benefits package. Marston’s is one of the UK’s largest and most beloved pub chains and today, we operate more than 1,300 pubs, bars and hotels. Now, we’re on the lookout for a great General Manager to take charge at the Wellington in Brecon and lead the team to success!

About the pub
The Wellington hotel is based in the centre of the market town of Brecon and in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. One of the oldest buildings in Brecon, The Wellington's Georgian façade looks over the town square and the statue of the Duke of Wellington himself. The Wellington has 10 en-suite rooms, a function room with capacity for weddings, patio area, bar area, and restaurant area. The Wellington is currently averaging £20k in weekly sales with a 60/40 dry to wet sales mix. We are looking for an experienced operator to take this sleeping giant to the next level as currently it’s not being driven to its full potential in utilising function space available.
Please note: There is no management accommodation available at this site, this is a live out opportunity, therefore you will need to live within a 20-minute radius or be prepared to move to the area. We do offer a live out allowance of up to £7,500!
