The Block & Tackle is a great community pub which has 2 entry doors, one leading to the large drinking and sports zone, the other to a snug and dining area, with a traditional pub company menu on offer. It has a large central bar feeding into both areas and has a beer patio area to the front of the pub, as well as a large car park. The pub sits in the middle of a large housing estate in the busy town of Ashington in Northumberland, which many locals use for food and drink, as well as their big nights out and sporting events.

The customers are drawn from the local estate, made up of a mixture of private and council owned properties. The town is a busy community and has recently had a new train link to Newcastle open. The beautiful Northumberland coast is within easy reach from the area, approx. 10 minutes.

The Block & Tackle has a solid trading base taking £12,000 a week with 85/15 wet/food split, but is absolutely capable of doing another 30% of wet sales and 50% of food sales with the right driven operator. A fully formed entertainment, Rhythm of the week and Sport plan that is promoted correctly will naturally bring this in.

What’s in it for you?

  • 22% share of weekly sales (excluding VAT) plus a guaranteed annual retained sum of £25K (released weekly)
  • Low ingoing costs, deposits starting from £5,000 and £360 legal cost. (*deposits can vary dependant on business – ask us for more details*)
