We are looking for an experienced CAD Technician to join a sports construction and design team. You will produce accurate 2D drawings, 3D models and technical documents for sports pitches, running tracks, synthetic turf facilities, tennis courts, cricket nets and associated infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed 2D drawings and layouts for tender, design, planning and as-built stages using AutoCAD.
- Create 3D models and visualisations for design reviews and client presentations.
- Manage and update drawing sets, ensuring all revisions are current.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards.
- Co-ordinate with project managers, engineers, surveyors and subcontractors.
- Support estimating with material quantity take-offs.
- Respond to site queries and update drawings as needed.
- Check drawings for accuracy and quality.
About You
- 3–5 years’ CAD experience in sports or civil or landscape or commercial construction.
- Strong AutoCAD skills (2D & 3D); Civil 3D experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, civil and structural drawings.
- Knowledge of sports facility construction and/or UK planning processes is an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence.
