We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated General Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly and supportive catering team. This role will either be based at our Church End or Forest End sites and plays a key part in delivering a high-quality food service for our children.
About the Role
- Support the serving of pre-prepared nutritious meals
- Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
- Ensure compliance with health and safety and food hygiene regulations
- Help create a safe, efficient, and welcoming kitchen environment
You will contribute directly to ensuring that all food served is prepared safely and to a high standard, supporting the wellbeing of our school community.
What We’re Looking For
- The ability to prepare and present a range of foods pre-prepared off-site
- Good communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with both adults and children
- Basic numeracy skills for portion control and food preparation
- Ability to carry out practical food preparation tasks safely and efficiently
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team
