10 meetings per year, Monday evenings 7-9pm (2 hours per meeting plus admin time). This position would suit someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and an interest in supporting school leadership and governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas in consultation with the Chair of Governors and Headteacher
  • Accurately record minutes at governing body meetings and circulate them promptly
  • Provide advice on governance procedures and statutory requirements
  • Maintain secure and confidential records of meetings and governance documentation
  • Ensure the governing body is compliant with current legislation and guidance
  • Manage correspondence and documentation relating to governance

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • The ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • A high level of confidentiality and professionalism
