We are seeking a Principal Flood Risk Engineer to join our growing team in London!

Enjoy the flexibility of hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office, balancing collaboration and focus wherever you work best.

What you will be doing:

  • Undertake flood risk assessments and determining effective solutions
  • Modelling and review of existing drainage networks
  • Production and agreement of drainage strategies
  • Ensure that technical services are managed within their respective budgets
  • Prepare fee estimates and quality submissions for new work
  • Provide technical direction on projects
  • Provide technical advice/approvals for project deliverables
  • Comply with the QMS

What we are looking for:

  • Degree in civil engineering or equivalent
  • Chartered or working towards Chartered status of appropriate professional body
  • Demonstrable drainage experience in both local authority and private sector
  • Wide range of skills and projects including attenuation, SuDS and public realm
  • Ability to apply your technical knowledge to analyse problems and create innovative solutions
  • Understanding of CDM duties
  • Experience line managing and providing technical oversight for delivery team
  • Knowledge and experience of business development, including fee estimation and proposal preparation
  • Extensive knowledge in Micro Drainage, Info Works ICM, Info Drainage and Civil3D is preferable
