Project Centre Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Transport Planner to support the delivery of highways, public realm and transportation projects across our growing portfolio.

You will provide technical leadership across a wide range of consultancy commissions, including the design of traffic, cycling, walking and public transport schemes covering junctions, corridors and urban areas, with a particular focus on town centre traffic management, parking strategy and town centre network performance. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional looking to take ownership of projects while mentoring and developing others.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and support parking strategy development, including controlled parking zones (CPZs), permit schemes, and pricing strategies
  • Develop and assess Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) for parking, waiting/loading restrictions, and access controls
  • Undertake town centre traffic management studies, including circulation, access, and congestion mitigation
  • Analyse and interpret parking demand, utilisation and turnover data to inform policy and design
  • Contribute to urban realm and place-based schemes including active travel and sustainable transport integration

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Transport Planning
  • Experience working with Local Authorities, Developers or Contractors
  • Experience in parking strategy, CPZ design, or kerbside management
  • Strong understanding of Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) and statutory processes
  • Experience in town centre or urban traffic management schemes

Desirable

  • Project management and commercial awareness
  • Member of Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT), Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), or working towards Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) / equivalent.
