Management Accountant – Full time, 6 months Fixed Term Contract

Location – Oldham (Hybrid)

Are you a part-qualified accountant looking for an exciting opportunity in Finance? Marston Holdings is currently seeking a commercially focused Management Accountant on a full time, fixed term basis to assist with the preparation and financial management of the Group Central Functions.

As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy of Central overheads whilst providing Group stakeholders with the essential visibility for strong financial management. We’re looking for someone with good finance experience, preferably part-qualified, and a strong attention to detail.

What you will be doing:

  • Month-End Accounts Preparation: Prepare accurate and complete month-end financial results for Central Functions. Ensure all journal postings, accruals and prepayments are accurate and complete and delivered within month-end timelines.
  • Month-End Reporting: Prepare month-end analysis, commentary and financial results packs for Central Functions ensuring delivered within reporting timelines.
  • Maintain integrity of financial performance for Central Functions.
  • Account Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling key Group allocation accounts and resolving variances by collaborating cross-functionally across the business.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis on Group spend to provide visibility and actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous review of financial processes, with the goal of enhancing the efficiency of Group allocations.
  • Support Internal Stakeholders: Manage internal relationships and core processes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferably at finals stage, with minimum of 5 years accounts experience.
  • Strong Finance and Management Accounts Experience with a focus on attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and working independently.
  • Advanced Excel Skills are essential for data analysis and reporting.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration experience is beneficial but not required.
