Arrest Officer
Location: South West
Salary:£26,442basic salary + commission, with OTE up to £40,000 + (Uncapped) per year
We are looking for Arrest Officers to join our team in the South West.
In this role, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient execution of a wide range of court-issued warrants and enforcement instructions. This includes Arrest Warrants, Warrants of Control, Liability Orders, and other specialist field operations. You will engage with customers and defendants to, arrange planned surrenders, secure payments conduct investigations, and where necessary carry out arrests and transport in accordance with court instructions and company procedures.
This is a varied field-based role requiring officers to manage multiple warrant types, prioritising workloads, adapting to changing operational demands, and delivering successful outcomes across a diverse enforcement portfolio.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Executing a variety of warrant and enforcement instructions including Arrest Warrants, Warrants of Control, Council Tax Liability Orders
- Visiting addresses and conducting investigations to locate defendants and debtors.
- Facilitating planned surrenders, negotiating payments, arranging payment plans and securing compliancewhere appropriate.
- Carrying out arrests and ensuring safe and lawful transport when required.
- Managing a diverse caseload across multiple enforcement disciplines, balancing priorities to meet court and client requirements.
- Completing all required documentation and maintaining accurate records through handheld devices and company systems.
- Handling challenging situations professionally and effectively, using communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Travelling throughout the region, and occasionally further afield, to ensure warrants and enforcement actions are carried out efficiently and within required timescales.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience in, or the ability to learn, the execution of multiple warrant and enforcement types, including arrest warrants, debt recovery warrants, and council tax enforcement activity.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to engage with people from all backgrounds.
- The ability to remain calm, professional, and respectful when dealing with conflict or challenging situations.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage a varied and demanding caseload.
- Flexibility to work across different enforcement activities and geographical areas as operational requirements dictate.
- Basic IT skills, including the use of handheld devices and electronic reporting systems.
- A proactive team player who can also work independently and exercise good judgement.
- A full UK driving licence.
