Civil Enforcement Officer

As one of our Civil Enforcement Officers-also known as Traffic Wardens or Parking Attendants-you’llhelp keep streets safe,accessibleand fair for everyone. Every day is varied and engaging, requiring accountability, soundjudgementand the ability to work outdoors in all weathers whileplaying an important part in supporting the public.

Working Hours & Shift Pattern

This is a full-time, permanent position contracted to 42.5 hours per week.

Civil Enforcement Officers are required to work 5 days out of 7, with shifts scheduled between 7:00am and 7:00pm.

The available shift patterns are:

  • 7:00am - 4:30pm
  • 8:00am - 5:30pm
  • 9:30am - 7:00pm

Shifts will be alternated to provide coverage across the required operating hours.

What you’ll be doing

  • Patrolling streets and car parks with confidence and professionalism
  • Supporting the public with clear, helpful guidance, including advice on where to park safely
  • Spending extended periods outdoorson your feet, staying active in all weather conditions
  • Encouraging fair and safe parking by issuing notices whenrequired
  • Helping to keep traffic moving and neighbourhoods accessible
  • Reporting issues such as abandoned vehicles or blocked access points
  • Working in partnership with local authorities and councils
  • Acting with integrity and contributing to a safer, more welcoming community
