We are expanding our capability and on the lookout for a CCTV Field Engineer to join our growing team! This is a full time, permanent position and encompasses out of office hours [OOH] and requires extensive UK wide travel. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys being on the move, and has a passion for cutting-edge technology. The successful candidate will need to hold a Full UK Driving License. This role is a critical part of the operations team. It is the function of our Field Engineers to ensure the hardware required for our traffic enforcement and management products is delivered and maintained in a timely, successful, and safe manner.
What you will be doing:
- Work with the Head of Service Management, PMO Manager and Technical Manager and wider service delivery and service management team to ensure any recurring technical issues are addressed and any training or documentation requirements are identified and implemented.
- System commissioning – working with our engineering partners to install at client sites, ensuring systems are delivered as specified.
- Working on site to install and assemble system, overseeing the activities of our engineering partners and sub-contractors where necessary.
- Software configuration - adjusting system settings “at the pole”, maximising the efficiency of delivery and optimising the effectiveness of solutions in situ.
- System support – assisting the helpdesk team, carrying out system checks and reacting to system generated alerts or client issues to troubleshoot issues and ensure maximum system uptime.
- Attending site for hardware replacements where required.
What we are looking for:
- At least two years’ experience in a field technical role, ideally with an enforcement/CCTV/ANPR system provider.
- A solid understanding of Networking/IP.
- A good working knowledge of hardware components (PCs, cameras, wireless, etc.) and networking devices.
- Full UK Driving License.
