About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and motivated Team Leader (Night Time) to join our Tameside Community Support team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supervisor who enjoys leading people, delivering outstanding customer service, and working within the local community.
In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting a team of Community Support Officers, ensuring high standards of service delivery throughout the night. You will play a key role in coaching and developing your team, maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring all operational and contractual requirements are met.
What you will be doing:
- Supervising, supporting and motivating a team of Community Support Officers during night-time operations.
- Delivering team briefings, allocating daily duties and ensuring full deployment across the service.
- Responding to customer enquiries and complaints professionally while delivering excellent customer service.
- Monitoring team performance, carrying out patrol visits, and ensuring compliance with Council guidelines and Health & Safety requirements.
- Liaising with clients, Greater Manchester Police, CCTV teams and other partner agencies to ensure effective service delivery.
- Managing administrative responsibilities including rotas, Return to Work meetings, holidays, uniform requests, investigations and other people management duties.
What we are looking for:
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Ability to motivate, organise and support a team while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident dealing with challenging situations and making informed decisions under pressure.
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Full UK driving licence and competent IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
