This role involves remote handling and actioning of alarm signals from various systems, including Intruder and Holdup Alarm Systems and remotely monitored sensor activated CCTV systems. No prior experience is required and they would welcome applications from all interested applicants as full training and career development will be provided.
Main Responsibilities:
- Working a 4 on 4 off rotating pattern, Operators are required to carry out the detailed actions relevant to each alarm signal as programmed within the alarm receiving software (Full training to be provided).
- Calling customers or clients nominated keyholders informing them of an alarm activation.
- Relaying alarm information clearly to customers.
- Accessing and escalating alarms as appropriate to the Emergency Services, Fire service and relevant police force.
- For CCTV sensor activations, operators are to determine if an intrusion into the protected area can be identified. When intruder activity has been identified then operators are to carry out standard procedures for contacting the site keyholders and/or the relevant police force.
- Liaising with engineer and service department, accessing and creating out of hours job sheets on the business client management software.
- Operators are responsible for administration duties within the ARC which include, but not limited to:
- Updating customer records on the Alarm System
- Sending email internally and externally
- Updating relevant communications logs
- Updating internal documentation
- Other tasks as required by the business
Person Specification:
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have excellent IT skills including proficient use of Microsoft Office Word/Excel/Outlook
- Must be confident in learning new IT software/systems and consider themselves a fast learner
- Be customer focused and able to deliver a professional service at all times.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to prioritise workload effectively.
- Be willing to improve knowledge/skills and have a positive attitude towards learning.
