Are you looking for your first Summer job? This could be a great starting point for you! We are a family business with a real focus on supporting our team and working together to succeed over the busy Summer period.

As our Summer Linen Assistant you will:

  • Help our Housekeeping Team get ahead for the day by stripping linen from bedrooms
  • Take the linen to the stock room and sort it ready for cleaning
  • Assist our Linen Porter to keep the corridors clear throughout the day
  • Be a team player working with our Housekeepers to keep the hotel looking great for our guests

Your shifts will always be in the morning starting at 9am and will last for approximately 4 hours depending on business levels. This means you can earn money and still enjoy your Summer! Fridays and Sundays are our busiest days so we will definitely need you then, but other days are flexible.

This is a part-time contract, for the Summer Holidays initially. If you do well and want to stay on, there are certainly opportunities to work with us more.

You don’t need to have years of experience to join us – just a willingness to learn and a positive attitude towards work. Most importantly, we just need you to be reliable and enjoy working as part of a large team.

A Hotel With Heart: The Marsham Court is committed to being the most responsible and ethically driven business we can be. Following a major development project, we are now one of the most accessible hotels in the UK with facilities that go way beyond what you would find in your average hotel. We have developed our CREW team who work within our business to drive change in three main areas: Sustainability, Community Outreach, and Employee Welfare. These projects are designed and led by the team meaning you can be a part of the change that you want to see. Some of the projects we are working on include:

  • New recycling and energy saving programmes
  • Mental health first aid qualifications for key team members
  • An increased social calendar to get our team together more often outside of work
  • A partnership with Bourne Free to deliver an event for the elderly LGBTQ+ community
  • A huge fundraising event for Dorset Children’s Foundation

Diversity Equity & Inclusion: Here at the Marsham Court Hotel, we live by five key values to ensure we create a happy and supportive environment for everyone, whether they are a guest or a member of our team:

  • We want our Marsham Court family to be as diverse as the world around us
  • We make sure that every person who works here has the same opportunities to develop and thrive
  • We believe that everyone should be treated the same, fairly and with respect
  • We create a culture of understanding, support and unity
  • We acknowledge and embrace each other’s differences rather than ignoring them

We are part of the Send Me 2 Work scheme, helping us to become a Disability Confident Leader.
