Your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault-finding and maintenance of equipment. You will work on various types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems. Working 42 hours per week, the current shift pattern covers days and nights, Monday – Sunday. Here is an example of the shift pattern: A good mechanical working knowledge with electrical experience is essentialTime served/apprentice trained in a similar position with qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3 or equivalent)Good understanding of current environmental, health, and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirementsPractical hands-on approachHave significant experience, understanding, and knowledge of the maintenance of a variety of plantsExperience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activitiesAbility to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations.
