We’re leading the way in our industry by creating the UK’s first dual block plant at our St Ives Manufacturing site in Cambridgeshire! Our state-of-the-art block plant has been up and running since early 2023 and provides an additional 200% manufacturing capacity and boost to new product innovation. This is the perfect time for a hard-working and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our busy Maintenance Team.
Role Responsibilities:
- Ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
- Work on various types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
Shift Pattern:
Working 42 hours per week, the current shift pattern covers days and nights, Monday – Sunday.
Skills Required:
- A good electrical working knowledge with mechanical experience is essential.
- Time served/apprentice trained in a similar position with Electrical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3 or equivalent).
- A thorough understanding of the IEE 18th edition.
- Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Practical hands-on approach.
- Significant experience, understanding, and knowledge of the maintenance of a variety of plant.
- Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities.
- Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives, Team leaders from both maintenance and production.
