Manufacturing is at the heart of our operation, it's where we fulfil the customer promise and it’s within this successful team at Marshalls that we’re recruiting for Operation Team Members.
You will be joining our team on a permanent basis where you’ll be making concrete products to required specification for the end customer and will have experience working in an environment where safety, quality, waste and OEE targets are a norm! You will carry out all duties relating to the efficient manufacturing of high quality Decorative Architectural Masonry products and other concrete products, using all operational techniques. The position requires hands on manual handling including the use of powered hand tools, machinery and mechanical handling equipment. Working 40 hours per week on a 3-week shift pattern (6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm and 10pm – 6am) Monday to Friday, you will be responsible for ensuring that all operations tasks are carried out safely whilst working to tight deadlines.
Mission-critical skills:
- Experience of operating in a small/medium manufacturing operation
- Previous experience of working within a Manufacturing Production environment
- Team player with attention to detail
- IOSH qualification is desirable
- Knowledge of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is advantageous
- FLT counter balance licence is desirable (training will be offered after successful completion of probationary period)
- The role requires the ability to safely carry out tasks that involve lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
