We are recruiting for a Class 1 HGV Driver to join the team at our Pollington site. You’ll be delivering customer orders to building sites and builders' merchants across the UK, so you’ll have a positive ‘can do’ attitude with excellent customer service skills and be able to stay calm and professional when challenges arise. You will operate a class 1 vehicle, ensuring that you maintain the vehicles by cleaning them daily. After all, you are the face of Marshalls! You will put the customer at the heart of everything you do, so ensuring you work to a high level of health and safety and are compliant to specific customer requirements. You’ll be punctual to ensure on-time deliveries!
What are the mission-critical skills?
- HGV Class 1 license with no more than 6 points and hold a current Driver CPC card
- Class 1 Driving experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication and writing skills
- A good team player and a keen eye for detail
- Willingness to be flexible about occasional overtime is essential
- Experience in tramping and nights away from home
- An understanding of yard and dispatch operations
