We are seeking an inspiring, forward-thinking Operations Manager to join the site leadership team and help drive the manufacturing site into its next chapter.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Site Operations Manager to drive site operational activities, compliance, SHEQ, and continuous improvement.
- Lead from the front by balancing strategic planning with site-wide engagement; analyse production processes to streamline efficiency and elevate standards.
- Develop a performance-driven culture centered on ownership, accountability, and transparency.
- Engage and mentor colleagues to foster a proactive, safety-first mindset and to empower development.
- Provide effective change leadership to bring diverse teams along in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ experience leading teams within a medium to large, automated industrial manufacturing environment; experience in a unionised setting is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of safety, quality, and housekeeping standards; IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate is highly desirable.
- Experience managing budgets, CAPEX programmes, and delivering capital projects.
- Data-driven with strong analytical skills and a solid grasp of OEE to drive decisions and measure performance.
- Agile, time-bound approach to work aligned with business and customer needs.
- Collaborative, proactive leadership style with ability to communicate at all levels, resolve issues constructively, and build customer confidence.
- Experience with lean manufacturing techniques (e. g., DMAIC) is a bonus.
