Our Finance department drives our company forward, from steering major investment projects to transforming data into powerful insights. As trusted business partners, we ensure financial precision, uphold the highest standards in reporting, and safeguard our business's integrity.
We now have a new opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our dynamic Business Finance Team. You will work closely with business leaders in our Landscaping & Building Products Business Units, driving growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business, accounts, reporting cycles, and financial performance.
- Take ownership of the P&L and Balance Sheet and your business unit's performance, using keen judgement to manage and escalate issues effectively.
- Deliver accurate forecasts/budgets and monthly accounts, including using standard costing and variance analysis to provide clear visibility of production performance, material usage, and labour efficiency.
- Shape our strategy and drive the business toward its strategic goals by presenting insightful Management Information (MI) to senior leaders.
- Continuously improve the quality of our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and commercial decision-making, ensuring all stakeholders receive the right support at the right time.
- Work effectively with stakeholders, understanding their needs and providing the right solutions to support business objectives.
- Build and maintain positive relationships throughout the organisation.
- Travel to manufacturing sites across the country, gaining invaluable insights into our operations.
Required Skills:
- Qualified accountant (CIMA or equivalent).
- Commercial business knowledge and FP&A experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ambitious, determined, and eager to engage with leadership teams, driven to challenge the norm and contribute to strategic decision-making.
- Team player with a strong motivation to succeed, resilience, well-organised, and structured approach.
- Able to foster productive relationships across the businesses with multi-level contacts.
