Marshalls plc is the UK's leading hard landscaping, building and roofing products supplier and has supplied some of the most prestigious landmarks in the UK since the 1890s. We're the benchmark for excellence and have been recognised as a Superbrand since 2010. As well as exceptional customer service, technical innovation, and manufacturing expertise, we continue to be a leader in our field in corporate responsibility and sustainable business practice.
Our Commercial Enablement function equips our commercial teams with the right knowledge, tools and insights at the right time, enabling confident selling and stronger commercial performance. It exists to translate our commercial strategy, products and processes into clear, accessible and actionable learning that helps sales teams perform at their best.
We are looking for a Commercial Enablement Coordinator to play a pivotal role in empowering our commercial teams to perform at their best. Sitting within the Commercial Operations & Enablement function, this role is at the heart of how we equip our sales teams with the tools, training, content and insights they need to win.
You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Trading, Learning & Development and IT to bring commercial strategies to life through impactful learning experiences, intuitive platforms and data-led improvements. If you enjoy building structure, creating engaging content and seeing your work directly influence performance and revenue, this role offers real visibility and impact.
Your mission is to enable commercial excellence. You will do this by:
- Turning complex product, process and commercial strategies into clear, engaging and accessible learning materials.
- Ensuring our sales enablement platform is well-organised, intuitive and fully adopted.
- Supporting product launches, campaigns and initiatives with the right readiness activities.
- Using performance data and feedback to continuously refine training and enablement interventions.
- Acting as a connector between teams to ensure alignment, clarity and consistency across the commercial ecosystem.
Ultimately, your work will help sales teams spend less time searching for information and more time selling effectively.
What are the mission-critical skills?
- Strong instructional and learning design skills, with hands-on experience creating digital learning content.
- Confidence using learning authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Canva or similar.
- A solid understanding of the sales process and the challenges faced by commercial teams.
- Experience managing learning management systems, enablement platforms, CRMs or intranets.
- The ability to analyse training effectiveness using data, metrics and feedback loops.
- Excellent written, visual and interpersonal communication skills.
- A proactive, self-driven mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Comfort working cross-functionally while owning and delivering your own work.
- A genuine commitment to inclusive, accessible learning, applying accessibility standards to digital content.
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Docebo, sales enablement platforms, CRM superuser responsibilities, agile content development or commercial operations is highly desirable but not essential.
What's in It for You?
This is a role where you can see the direct impact of your work on commercial performance and revenue growth. You'll gain exposure to senior stakeholders and play a key role in shaping how sales enablement is delivered across the business, with the opportunity to build, optimise and scale learning content and platforms rather than simply maintain them. Working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, your ideas and expertise will be valued, and you'll have the chance to develop your career within commercial operations, enablement or learning. Most importantly, you'll experience the satisfaction of creating tools and training that are actively used by sales teams and make a measurable difference to how they perform.
