Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer at our Mells site.
So, what’s the mission? We now have an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer with some Mechanical skills, to join our busy Maintenance Team at our production site in Mells. Working as part of the team, your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating engineering downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment reactive engineering activities on site. You will be operating on a shift pattern working Monday to Friday (06:00am – 2:00pm and 2:00pm – 10:00pm).
What are the mission critical skills?
- A strong electrical working knowledge with some mechanical experience.
- The ideal applicant will be a qualified, time served in a similar position ideally at NVQ 3 level.
- Ideally apprentice trained qualified to the 18th edition wiring regulations.
- PLC fault finding skills would be a distinct advantage.
- Experience in mechanical fitting, welding, fabrication and general machining would be an advantage.
- Experienced in reactive and planned maintenance of electrical systems controlling hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors (belts, chain, rollers, bearings, gear boxes, motors etc.), and able to read technical drawings.
