Our state‑of‑the‑art block plant has been up and running since early 2023 and provides an additional 200% manufacturing capacity and boost to new product innovation.
This is the perfect time for a hard‑working and experienced Multi‑Skilled Engineer to join our busy Maintenance Team.
What is the role about?
Your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault‑finding and maintenance of equipment. You will work on various types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems. Working 42 hours per week, the current shift pattern covers days and nights, Monday – Sunday.
Skills required:
- A good electrical working knowledge with mechanical experience is essential
- Time served/apprentice trained in a similar position with Electrical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3 or equivalent)
- A thorough understanding of the IEE 18th edition
- Good understanding of current environmental, health, and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Practical hands‑on approach
- Have significant experience, understanding, and knowledge of the maintenance of a variety of plants
- Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities
- Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations
- Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives, Team leaders from both maintenance and production
