Overview: Marshalls is looking to recruit experienced Maintenance Engineers to join our busy Maintenance Team at our production site in Sittingbourne. We seek Multi Skilled Engineers with an Electrical or Mechanical bias to support our continuous improvement of the production process.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
  • Work on various types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
  • Carry out planned and reactive engineering activities on site.
  • Work 42 hours per week on a shift pattern of 4 on, 4 off covering both days and nights (6 am to 6 pm).
  • Provide accurate plant condition information and recommendations.
  • Work with operatives and team leaders across maintenance and production.

Qualifications & skills:

  • Apprentice training in a similar position is desirable.
  • Electrical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3 or equivalent).
  • Good understanding of current environmental and health & safety issues.
  • Practical hands-on approach and experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification and routine maintenance.
  • Ability to interrogate maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information.
  • Excellent communication skills when dealing with operatives, team leaders, and production staff.
  • PLC and VSD knowledge is advantageous.
  • Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics is an advantage.
