Salary: £40,000 per annum / £16.02 per hour, £3,000 attraction and development allowance, £26 night out allowance (circa £3,000 per annum) + £4.50 meal allowance per day (circa £1,000) + Benefits
Shifts: Monday to Friday, Tramping - 48 hours per week contractual / estimated 55 hours per week including overtime (x1.3 or x1.5 weekends)
Marshalls Water Management takes pride in crafting cutting-edge drainage solutions and versatile civil engineering products. We are recruiting for Class 1 HGV Drivers to join the team at our Sandy site. You will be delivering customer orders to building sites and builders' merchants across the UK, so you will have a positive ‘can do’ attitude with excellent customer service skills and be able to stay calm and professional when challenges arise.
You will operate a class 1 vehicle, ensuring that you maintain the vehicles by cleaning them daily. You will put the customer at the heart of everything you do, ensuring you work to a high level of health and safety and are compliant with specific customer requirements. You will be punctual to ensure on-time deliveries.
Responsibilities:- Deliver customer orders to building sites and builders' merchants across the UK; maintain high standard customer service and stay calm and professional when challenges arise.
- Operate a class 1 vehicle and maintain it by cleaning daily.
- Put the customer at the heart of everything you do, work to a high level of health and safety, comply with customer requirements, and be punctual to ensure on-time deliveries.
- HGV Class 1 license with no more than 6 points and hold a current Driver CPC card
- Class 1 Driving experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication and writing skills
- A good team player and a keen eye for detail
- Willingness to be flexible about occasional overtime is essential
- Experience in tramping and nights away from home
- An understanding of yard and dispatch operations
- Monday to Friday + overtime available
- 34 days per annum or the equivalent in hours (inclusive of bank holidays)
