Location - Mells, Somerset

Starting salary ranges from £29,418 to £32,150 + Benefits (salary rises annually, based upon experience). Shift patterns are 6:00am to 2:00pm and 2:00pm to 10:00pm, with a 10% shift allowance paid for working 2.00pm to 10.00pm. Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. No weekend work unless required, with time and a half overtime when applicable.

Role and responsibilities

  • You will work as part of our manufacturing team to carry out duties related to the efficient production of high-quality concrete drainage and associated products.
  • You will be trained to use a range of hand tools, machinery, and mechanical handling equipment.
  • You will work in an environment where safety, quality and efficiency are key to the company’s ongoing success.
  • You will work a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday (6.00am to 2.00pm), with occasional overtime on Saturdays (6.00am to 2:00pm) at 1.5x overtime rates.
  • Flexibility on shift patterns and overtime will be rewarded, as this site is key to the business with growing customer demand and production targets.

Development and progression

After 12 months’ service, and successful transition to level 2, you will be rewarded with an increased basic salary including shift allowance, plus incentives and benefits.

  • Ideally have previous experience or understanding of working within a manufacturing production environment.
  • Team player with attention to detail and the willingness to learn new skills.
  • Good communication skills (teamwork is key to our success).
  • An understanding of the importance of Health & Safety in the workplace.
  • An understanding and appreciation of how an efficient way of working can impact the success of any business.
  • Current FLT licence (desirable but not essential) - lapsed tickets can be renewed for successful applicants.
