Working as part of the team, your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating engineering downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment and reactive engineering activities on site.

Mission critical skills:

  • A strong electrical working knowledge with some mechanical experience
  • The ideal applicant will be a qualified, time served in a similar position ideally at NVQ 3 level
  • Ideally apprentice trained and qualified to the 18th edition wiring regulations
  • PLC fault finding skills would be a distinct advantage
  • Working knowledge of robots and automated process plant & machinery
  • Experience in mechanical fitting, welding, fabrication and general machining would be an advantage
  • Experienced in reactive and planned maintenance of electrical systems controlling hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors (belts, chain, rollers, bearings, gear boxes, motors etc.), and able to read technical drawings
