The Role
Reporting directly to the Senior Contracts Manager, you will assist with roofing installations, repairs and maintenance activities, ensuring all works are carried out safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist roofing operatives with the installation, repair and maintenance of a variety of roofing systems, including tiled, slated and flat roofs.
- Support the installation of roofline products, including fascias, soffits, gutters and rainwater goods.
- Assist with the safe loading, unloading and handling of materials, tools and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment, ensuring all Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments and method statements are followed at all times.
- Use tools, equipment and materials safely and in accordance with training and supervision provided.
- Attend college, training courses and apprenticeship learning activities as required, applying industry best practice, roofing standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Support site teams in delivering projects to agreed quality standards and timescales.
- Promptly report any hazards, defects, incidents or near misses and represent the company professionally when working on client sites and occupied properties.
Apprenticeship Program
You’ll undertake a 4‑year apprenticeship programme, combining on‑site experience with college based learning to achieve an SVQ Level 5 in Roofing Occupations through South Lanarkshire College.
