Manufacturing is at the heart of our operation. It's where we fulfil the customer promise and produce the UK's leading Mortar & Screed products. We're continually investing in our people, processes, and plants to ensure we push the boundaries within our sector. We have a new opportunity for a Plant Manager to lead our team at our Howley Park plant.

You will lead all site production activities, compliance, and health and safety whilst developing a performance‑driven culture emphasising ownership, accountability, transparency, and development of the facility and its people. You'll engage the 'hearts and minds' of the company's employees to create and sustain a proactive culture in all disciplines across the site. You'll lead and manage site‑based team members and need excellent communication and people management skills. Working closely with the National Operations Manager, you'll implement a continuous improvement culture to ensure site KPIs are achieved.

Qualifications

  • Experience of operating in a manufacturing site with responsibility for a team
  • Experience in maximising the potential of others including development and performance management
  • Demonstrable experience of driving and improving site performance
  • Excellent IT skills including MS package including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills, both one-to-one and in a group setting
  • Experience in implementing continuous improvement/lean manufacturing techniques e.g. 5s, DMAIC would be an advantage
  • IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate desirable
