HGV Driver - Class 2 – Howley Park, Dewsbury. Base salary: £37,637 per annum; Meal allowance: £1,035 per annum; Annual earnings: £38,672 + overtime. We’re recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join the team at our Howley Park site. Vehicles are 4-axle 32t rigid trucks (POD, Auger Tipper and Mixer) with automatic gearboxes. This is a great opportunity to be a pivotal part of Marshalls Mortars and Screeds, delivering high-quality products and a first-class service to customers.
Responsibilities- Be the first point of face-to-face contact for customers, delivering mortar to construction sites in the local area with a positive, can-do attitude and excellent customer service.
- Operate multi-compartment Pod and Mixer vehicles; maintain and clean vehicles daily.
- Represent Marshalls Mortars and Screeds professionally and maintain high health and safety standards.
- Be punctual and an early riser to ensure on-time deliveries; stay calm and professional when challenges arise.
- Adhere to customer requirements and ensure compliance with site-specific rules.
- Current Class 2 HGV licence with no restrictions and a maximum of 3 points on the licence.
- Current Drivers CPC card.
- Experience of operating Mixer or Pod trucks is advantageous; full training is provided.
- Excellent English communication and writing skills.
- Set shift patterns (two Saturdays per month) + overtime.
- 34 days per annum or the equivalent in hours (including bank holidays).
- Guaranteed Christmas holidays.
