Overview

Warehouse & Yard Operative – Burton-On-Trent, DE14 3HD. 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Salary: £31,473 per annum.

At Marley, we’re recruiting for a Warehouse & Yard Operative within our manufacturing operation. Marley is at the forefront of pitched roof systems, leading the industry in sustainability and innovation. We’ve joined with Marshalls plc to bring together two strong heritages in building products. Manufacturing is at the heart of our operation, and this role supports stock management, dispatch, and yard operations within a busy distribution environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support stock management and supply of all traded goods across multiple areas of the yard, including the sample distribution centre.
  • Pick and dispatch customer orders, maintain stock control, and liaise with a range of stakeholders.
  • Ensure items are distributed correctly, on time, with a clear focus on quality and safety.

Mission-critical skills

  • Minimum of 2 years FLT driving experience and a Forklift Truck Licence is essential for this role.
  • Experience working in areas where workplace transport health and safety is practiced.
  • Experience operating in a manufacturing warehouse/yard environment is desirable.
  • SAP experience is desirable.
  • Team player with attention to detail.
  • Good level of English, oral and written.
  • IOSH qualification is desirable.
