41,052 (Including shift allowance) plus overtime (£45,000+ achievable with O/T). Overtime paid at 1.35x and 1.75x. 4 on - 4 off shift pattern covering days and nights (05:45am to 05:45pm).
Marley is a specialist in pitched roof systems and a division of Marshalls plc, the UK's leading hard landscaping, building, and roofing products supplier. We are recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our close-knit team in Glasgow to help the site maintain its great track record.
This is a great opportunity to bring your new ideas to life and have an immediate impact on our operation whilst building a career path with Marley. Working as part of a skilled Engineering team, your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
You will be involved in a variety of engineering tasks, ensuring a proactive approach to preventing equipment failure. Working on various types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on site.
Working 39 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off rotation, you will have plenty of time for a great work-life balance! You will also have the opportunity for overtime so can increase your earning potential.
- Good working knowledge of mechanical engineering
- Apprentice-trained Mechanical Engineer to NVQ Level 3
- Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics and pneumatics will be an advantage
- Experience in fabrication and welding would be beneficial
- Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Experience in mechanical fault finding, defect rectification and routine maintenance activities
- Excellent level of English, oral and written
