We now have an opportunity for a Senior Offset Manager within Marshall. This role will be accountable for developing, documenting and controlling the framework within which Marshall operates in order to meet its compliance requirements within the areas of Offset. Developing the policy and process to drive compliance with all Offset related laws and regulations, and leading all Offset related activity within the business.

Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining the Offset policies
- Conceiving, developing and complying with efficient Offset compliance programmes that address adequately the obligations placed upon Marshall while enabling the business to achieve its targeted results
- Providing SME advice, support and coaching to functions across the business from Corporate Governance, Growth, Security, Human Resources, Commercial, Procurement & Supply Chain to Shipping, QA and IT Departments
- Leading efforts to ensure that business systems and processes are developed and maintained to include compliance with regulations that control Offset
- Leading the Offset compliance activity, keeping Marshall compliant and safe
- Proactively monitoring business wide activity to identify and mitigate compliance risks
- Keeping up to date with market and governmental trends to ensure Marshall Offset control procedures and policies are aligned with all applicable regulatory requirements and offer the maximum benefit and protection to the business
Tasks
- Identifying Offset opportunities to discharge Marshall contracted Offset commitments
- Defining and detailing Offset opportunities, explaining and justifying them to secure full sign‑off and approval to proceed
- Managing the Offset programme, including tracking of all commitments, achievements and regular reporting of progress
- Leading and driving external visits to explore and develop Offset opportunities
- Leading and managing all communications with customer Offset authorities
- Negotiating Offset values with the customer Offset authorities, including multipliers
- Acting as the sole point of contact internally and externally for all matters relating to Offset
- Analysing and summarising the Offset related regulatory compliance implications for complex business scenarios, involving multiple jurisdictions, and provide evidence‑based explanations and guidance to all levels of the business
- Developing and providing specialist advice, training and professional services to Marshall staff
- Leading the development of training and awareness materials
- Identifying, mitigating and communicating Offset risks to Senior Management and Executive Board
Preferred Qualifications
- Active knowledge and experience of the latest thinking and approaches to Offset in large cross‑functional organisations
- Demonstrable ability to lead and inspire a team of SME professionals to deliver best practice Offset support and governance across the business
- Experience in a senior hands‑on Offset practitioner role
- Strong stakeholder engagement, management and governance experience
- Recent and current knowledge of changes or amendments to Offset regimes that may influence the activities undertaken by Marshall
- In‑depth understanding of Offset related regulatory developments and experience of communicating this effectively to senior personnel
