Operating out of Cambridge Airport, and working for the MRO Training Manager, the successful candidate will be required to maintain ‘Type’ currency on our C-130 fleets, including C-130J and C-130H delivering approved B1 Type Training and supporting our extensive range of MRO training requirements such as Regulatory and Continuation Training, Fitter to Tech Training, C-130 Gen Fam Training and emerging training requirements within the business.
This role will give you the chance to play a key role on ground-breaking and high-profile defence projects with values in the hundreds of millions. You’ll be part of an industry-leading team, working with Marshall and other major defence stakeholders and Primes.
Purpose of the position
The successful candidate will be required to maintain ‘Type’ currency on our C-130 fleets, including C-130J and C-130H delivering approved B1 Type Training and supporting our extensive range of MRO training requirements. These include Regulatory and Continuation Training, Fitter to Tech Training, C-130 Gen Fam Training and emerging training requirements within the business.
You will be required to work a standard 5 day week but with the additional flexibility of working in a hybrid capacity when designing, developing and assuring current and future training requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deliver C-130 approved and unapproved B1 Type Training and supporting our extensive range of MRO training requirements.
- Assess current learning outcomes and develop future training to ensure it is innovative, engaging and stimulating for the learner, aspiring to create world leading training.
- Support the training manager in meeting UKCAA and NLD-MAA requirements in relation to retaining C-130 Type Approvals.
- Support the business in ensuring all personnel are in date and current to conduct guidance for Part 145 Maintenance activities.
- Ensure that all students working under your supervision carry out their tasks in a safe and correct manner.
- Conduct any other such duties that may be required from time to time, as directed by the Technical Training Manager or Head of Operations - Integrated Support MROSS.
About the person
Essential
- Experience working in both Line and Base maintenance environments.
- Have previously held company approvals on commercial aircraft or military equivalent.
- Hold a Full UK Driving License.
Desirable
- Previous experience working within a C-130 environment.
- Experience or qualification in Training Delivery.
- Knowledge of Systems Approach to Training (SAT).
- Previous experience of Instructional Design.
- Previous experience of Lesson/Course delivery.
- Experience of Microsoft Office Tools.
