About the Role
Our client, a global finance organisation, are looking to recruit the services of a highly skilled Cloud Security Consultant with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure to support the design, assessment, and validation of cloud security controls across expanding cloud environments. The role is based in Ipswich, Suffolk, so candidates must live a commutable distance from Ipswich.
You will work closely with technical and delivery teams, acting as a trusted advisor to ensure robust security frameworks and best practices are embedded throughout cloud programmes. This is a hands-on, advisory-focused position ideal for someone who enjoys shaping cloud security maturity while supporting teams in emerging areas such as AI-enabled workloads.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess existing Azure environments to identify required cloud security controls
- Define, implement, and enhance security controls across cloud platforms
- Validate and test security controls to ensure effectiveness and compliance
- Provide expert guidance on cloud security best practices and ongoing improvements
- Support teams exploring new domains such as AI agents and AI-enabled workloads
Required Experience
- Strong, hands-on experience working in Microsoft Azure environments
- Experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud
- Experience with Prisma Cloud (Palo Alto)
- Proven background in cloud security architecture, control design, and validation
Desirable experience
- Experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms
- Exposure to or interest in AI security, AI agents, or AI-led services
- Ability to succeed in fast-paced, project-driven cloud transformation environments
