We are looking for an experienced and reliable Drainage Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis, working across Cambridge and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced drainage professional looking for a long-term position with a well-established business. You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive drainage works across a variety of commercial and domestic properties, providing a professional and efficient service to customers.
The Role
- Carrying out planned and reactive drainage works
- Investigating and diagnosing drainage issues and blockages
- Clearing blocked drains, toilets, sinks and associated drainage systems
- Carrying out drain repairs and maintenance
- Using appropriate drainage equipment and specialist tools
- Carrying out CCTV drainage surveys where required
- Identifying defects and recommending appropriate repair solutions
- Undertaking jetting and mechanical cleaning of drainage systems
- Working on both internal and external drainage systems
- Completing job sheets, service reports and relevant documentation
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
- Maintaining a professional relationship with customers and site teams
About You
- An experienced Drainage Engineer or Drainage Technician
- Confident carrying out reactive and planned drainage works
- Experienced in dealing with blockages, repairs and drainage maintenance
- Comfortable using professional drainage equipment
- Able to diagnose problems and identify practical solutions
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Customer-focused with good communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Flexible and willing to work across different sites
- In possession of a full UK driving licence
Experience with high-pressure water jetting, CCTV drainage surveys, mechanical cleaning and underground drainage repairs would be advantageous.
