The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We now have an opportunity for a Commercial Manager to build and maintain a positive contractual relationship with one of our key customers.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working with Sales and Strategy teams to build customer relationships and understanding and developing commercial structures for new contracts.
- Taking the lead in shaping, drafting, negotiating and agreeing relevant agreements.
- Participating in bid teams; managing all commercial/contractual aspects relating to specific bids and proposals.
- Communicating obligations, risks and important contract matters and securing buy-in of delivery team, including working closely with Supply Chain colleagues to ensure flow down of relevant head contract obligations.
- Working closely with finance, estimating, programme and sales management to develop pricing for proposals, which provides optimal probability of success whilst ensuring level of risk exposure is understood.
- Communicating commercial issues and pricing build up to facilitate bid approval at appropriate level of delegated authority, including participating in bid-sign off presentations to company Executives as required.
- Collation of commercial data for internal reporting.
- Involvement in the development and implementation of commercial policy, procedure and practice.
- Encouragement of good industry standard practice and self-assessment of quality and accuracy of commercial work within the commercial function of the business unit.

- Significant current Commercial/Contract/Relationship and Proposal experience.
- A good grasp of business strategy and a wide appreciation of general business issues beyond a strictly commercial remit.
- A demonstrable record of working in a commercial environment, working on complex bids and contracts for a variety of military and industry customers.
- In depth working knowledge of commercial risk and mitigations, terms and conditions, including those covering Intellectual Property, Liabilities, Indemnities and other contractual issues.
- Significant experience in delivering commercial proposals and negotiating contracts.
- Strong communication skills (both written and spoken) including excellent listening ability. Customer focused with the ability to see issues from the perspective of others.
- Membership of IACCM or CIPS.
