An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of our growing, independent Freight Forwarding clients as a Shipping Co-ordinator.
This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate looking to build a career in Shipping, Logistics and international trade. Full training will be provided, including the opportunity to gain professional freight forwarding and customs qualifications.
The Role:
You’ll work as part of a friendly team, supporting customers and coordinating shipments from start to finish. Duties will include:
- Arranging shipping and air freight bookings
- Obtaining freight rates and monitoring exchange rates
- Preparing shipping and export documentation
- Supporting customs clearance
- Raising invoices and shipment certificates
- Communicating with customers and transport providers
About You:
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and keen to learn. You’ll ideally have some experience of Shipping or Freight Forwarding or a Maritime related degree.
You should have good numerical and communication skills, be comfortable using Microsoft Office and be confident speaking with customers.
Your own transport is essential due to the location.
