Marshall Land Systems are excited to launch our level 3 Business Administration Apprentice roles to start in October 2026. We are looking for a number of apprentices that will work in the following functions:
- Commercial Finance Operations (travel to South Wales will be required)
- Project Management
- Supply Chain
- Talent/HR
The Business Administration Apprentice will support the day-to-day activities of their assigned department while developing a broad range of administrative, organisational, and business support skills through a structured apprenticeship programme. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the apprentice will gain practical experience across core business functions such as Commercial, Finance, Talent Acquisition, Project Management, and Operations, while contributing to the efficient delivery of departmental objectives and continuous improvement activities.
Your responsibilities in this role include:
- Provide general administrative support to the assigned department and wider business where required
- Maintain accurate records, databases, spreadsheets, and documentation
- Support the preparation of reports, presentations, meeting packs, and correspondence
- Assist with scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating departmental activities
- Support data entry, filing, document control, and record management activities
- Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and external contacts
- Assist with tracking actions, tasks, and updates where applicable
- Support departmental processes and ensure compliance with company procedures and policies
- Participate in team meetings, briefings, and training activities
- Ensure confidential and sensitive information is handled appropriately
- Develop knowledge of company systems, processes, and business operations
- Complete apprenticeship coursework, training, and assessments in line with programme requirements
- Work collaboratively across teams and departments to support business objectives
- Carry out additional administrative or business support tasks as required
What we are looking for from you:
- No previous experience required; this role is suitable for individuals starting their career in business administration
- Previous experience in a customer service, retail, office, or team-based environment is beneficial
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications or similar IT systems is desirable
- Demonstrable interest in business, administration, or professional services environments
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Positive attitude and proactive approach to work
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
- Previous experience using office software or administrative systems
- Interest in business operations, project coordination, finance, commercial activities, HR, Supply Chain or operations management
- Understanding of basic office or administrative processes
Additional local requirements:
- Full-time onsite working required (with potential flexibility depending on department requirements) location Cambridge
- Successful candidates may be required to complete a BPSS check
- Candidates must be willing to undertake and complete the associated apprenticeship qualification
- Have lived in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EAA) for the last 3 years
- Be a resident of the UK for the entire duration of the program (18 months)
- Not be registered to study on a UK government funded course ending September 2026 or later
- You will be 18 years old or older before the contract’s start date
